"Hearts & Hands" Prayer Shawl Ministry
Group Leader: Lisa Schappell
The Hebrew word for Prayer Shawl is "Tallit" which literally means "Little Tent". The tent was used as the sacred meeting place for the children of Israel throughout history until the time when they established a permanent place of worship. In this same way, we create these Prayer Shawls for people to find an intimate moment with God, even in the midst of turmoil. Prayer Shawls are often a garment of comfort and solace during a season of illness or grief. If you are a knitter or crocheter and would like to get involved in this ministry, contact Lisa Schappell at stewardship@hamburgbridge.com
